These larger-scale XL French Cleat Support Brackets are great for supporting heavy items! Moreover, they’re even better at installing countertop-like structures in a workspace. As you can see, if you scroll through the description pictures they can hold quite a bit of weight - even me standing on them! Each bracket is 16 inches deep, 2 inches tall at the narrow end, 9-3/8 inches tall at the well end, and 3/4-inch thick.

These brackets can be installed on an existing cleat wall and have enormous potential for storing various items in your shop. I use mine to store broken-down plywood. However, I’m really excited about using them as modular work surfaces that can be moved to different areas. It’s also a great way to install a shop desk with storage underneath.
